The American Airlines Arena is the home of the NBA team the Miami Heat and can hold up to 19,600 "white-hot" screaming, energetic fans. When I say "white-hot" that's what I mean. Fans come dressed head to toe in white Miami Heat apparel, to encourage the team and promote unity. The fans are also treated to breathtaking views of the bay and the Miami Beach skyline from many of the public areas. Many restaurants are included in the arena, such as People's BBQ and Bongo's, a Cuban restaurant owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Concerts are regularly scheduled here as well, and can house slightly less fans as the floor space is taken up by a massive stage.
